about
Charger is the result of two dreams. I dreamt two melodies and decided to put them in a song. It’s about loving and wanting to stay close to things that inspire me and make me happy. First, my home, the Laurentians: its snow, its comfortable silence. And agirl: wanting to stay close to her, with everything she is. But inside all the love, there is also the pressure of wanting to be enough for both of them.
lyrics
The noise in my dream
Made me stumble out amazed
By perfect whiteness
A great blanket of cold stillness
Hold me closer
Hold me and don’t let me leave
Hold me lightly
Just enough so I don’t leave
I love you too much
And it makes me want to watch you move around
I love you too much
And I never want nobody else around
The noise in my dreams
Made me crawl to find your skin
It’s telling me that
I already lost my charger in your home
Closer to you
Wouldn’t want to be anywhere else
Closer to you
Your voice, your fears, your thoughts, your wool
I love you too much
And it makes me want to watch you move around
I love you too much
And I never want nobody else around
Is that ok?
Is that enough?
‘Cause it is what you want
I love you too much
And it makes me want to watch you move around
I love you too much
And I never want nobody else around
